Pennine Artists

Hello and welcome, come in, gather round.

My next exhibition, Currently CRAFTED, is a pop-up exhibition by Pennine Artists at The Orangery, Wakefield. The show runs from the 31st March - 1st April.

I'm currently exhibiting two new paintings alongside my fellow Pennine Artists, and members of other local art groups, as part of the Creative Connections exhibition at Barnsley's Cooper Gallery.

Wonderfully Made 2011 (3rd-5th November) was a smashing show once again. Thanks to those who came and bought from me and those who just came to have a look round. This was the first time my leatherwork has had a proper public airing (see my blog for more information) and also my first show as a member of Pennine Artists.

The people have spoken and my painting of Durham Cathedral won 'Best in Show' at the Wortley Hall Remembered exhibition (5th-12th October 2011). Hoorah! Thanks to everyone who voted.

Two new designs have been added to the Broad Close Farm Collection of greetings cards; a couple of cute Shetland ponies and a couple of cheeky (vicious?) ferrets. Enjoy!

Check out the gallery now to see the new prices for paintings which were unsold at the Great Sheffield Art Show.
'Temple of Piety' and 'Sunset, Criccieth' weren't offered for sale before GSAS, so now's your chance if you want to buy either of them. And 'Durham Cathedral' or 'Gritstone Tors' can now be yours for considerably less than the GSAS price...

Recently added to the Greetings Cards section of the website are some cards based on paintings from the 'Classic Landscapes' gallery. If you've bought any of the Broad Close Farm Collection or the 'St. Mary's Church' Christmas card, then you'll know what to expect: good quality, generous sized A5 cards with a faded image printed on the inside. They have no message so are ideal for any occasion. (Apart from Christmas, perhaps, for which the Christmas card is definitely a better option!)

I've been painting a few smaller pieces over the last few weeks. They're the top four paintings in the gallery, although two of them were sold before the varnish was even dry! The other two are still for sale, both for less than £100.

Four of my paintings have been selected for exhibition at the Great Sheffield Art Show 2011. You'll find them labelled as 'NFS' in the gallery.
The show runs from the 8th 10th July.
